Twitter spam and scams : We know that they have been appearing more frequently and have become more dangerous . And it’s been a problem since relatively early on for Twitter. The scammers are smart though and have beaten Twitter’s defenses consistently. Now Twitter’s default URL shortener, Bit.ly , has decided to take action of its own to combat the recent wave of Twitter scams.
