What Do You Think of the TRAFFIC Auction Lineup?

What do you think of the names and reserves in this auction? This year’s (only) TRAFFIC conference takes place in just a couple weeks in Fort Lauderdale. It will include the first auction run exclusively by TRAFFIC without an outside domain sales company. The list of domains is still fluid, but it seems that Rick Schwartz is delivering on his word to keep reserves relatively low. That doesn’t mean the domains will sell, though

DomainName.com To Be Auctioned Tuesday

Generic domain name for domain industry goes on the block Tuesday. DomainConsultant.com’s auction of DomainName.com is taking place on Tuesday, August 31. This isn’t just an auction for the domain name — it includes an ICANN accredited registrar with an active customer base and about 8,000 domain registrations. That’s not a huge number, but if you take a look at what has been done with DomainName.com to date, it appears there’s a lot of upside.

Moniker Sells Tshirts.com For $1.265 Million

Ahead of Wednesday’s auction, Moniker brokers blockbuster domain name sale. Moniker has sold Tshirts.com and four other related domains prior to Wednesday’s auction for $1.265 million. The domains include tee-shirts.com, t-shirt.com, t-shirts.com, and tees.com. The buyer is Costumes Galore Inc., which is apparently making a push into the t-shirt business. Separately, I’m aware of another Moniker sale for $736,000, but the domain name will not be disclosed.
